CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Check-in is at 3 pm and check-out is 10 am. Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available at times pending other reservations and housekeeping schedules but will require prior approval by Sea Gypsy Vacation Rental (SGVR) and will be subject to additional charges.
PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Sea Gypsy Vacation Rental (SGVR) requires 50% down at the time of booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. If you need to cancel your reservation 30 days prior to your arrival date you will get your deposit back minus the $50 administration fee for processing. If you should cancel your reservation within 30 days, there is no refund but the money will be used toward a future reservation to be used within one calendar year. All guests must provide a credit card to have on file for incidental charges that may occur during their stay.
NO SMOKING
All of our properties have no smoking inside. You may smoke outside with all doors and windows closed. If anyone is caught inside smoking, you will be asked to vacate the property with no refund and you will be charged an additional $300 for violating the NO SMOKING POLICY plus any additional damages.
TURTLE NESTING SEASON
Turtle Season begins May 1st through October 31st. Fort Myers Beach (FMB) is environmentally friendly. Lee County has a Sea Turtle Conservation code which is strictly enforced, and violators can be fined if the following is not strictly enforced:
Shut off or shield lights that are visible from the beach. Close blinds or curtains that face the beach between the hours of 9 pm-7 am.
Do not use flashlights, lanterns, or any other non-approved light source on the beach.
Fires are not permitted at any time.
Fill in any holes dug in the sand and remove all beach furniture, toys, and tents by 9 pm and store them close to the house.

Through our community impact program, $2 a stay will fund Keep Lee County Beautiful. 100% of funds are given to Keep Lee County Beautiful.
PETS
SGVR has pet-friendly properties that the guest can have up to 2 dogs (CATS ARE NOT PERMITTED) for a one-time $100 plus a pet fee. If a guest has a pet in a NO pet property, the guest will be asked to remove the pet and or leave the property with forfeiture of all payments and additional charges may apply to return the property to its original condition.
Any breed with a history of biting, fighting, or trained attack dogs are prohibited!
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog, any property damage or injuries caused by the pet.
NOISE DISTURBANCES
Ft Myers Beach has a strict noise ordinance from the hours of 10pm-7am. No loud noises of any kind such as loud music, loud parties, or loud noises that interfere with the comfort and enjoyment of life and property by not only residents, but visitors are subject to fines and or jail time. Fine can be up to $500 for each violation and/or jail time of up to 60 days. Any violation can also lead to guests vacating the premises and forfeiture of all payments made to SGVR.
PEST CONTROL
SGVR uses a contracted pest control company. SGVR will do its best efforts to address pest control issues but is not responsible for rebates due to the presence of pests in the untimely service by pest control companies. FMB is a barrier island with a tropical climate and some pests are inherent to the region and climate making them resilient against professional treatment.
ENTRY OF PREMISES/PROPERTY FOR SALE
SGVR-authorized employee or repair person may enter the premises during customary business hours for any purpose related to the repair, improvement, care, and management of the property. SGVR will do its best to give the guest 24 hr. notice.
If the property is for sale SGVR may need to coordinate with the guest to show the property. Every effort will be made to schedule around the guests’ stay to lessen any inconvenience.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SHORT TERM RENTALS
In accordance with Section 34-2393 of Town Ordinance 18-01 the Town hereby institutes a rule of conduct that applies to guests of short-term rental units. Information and rules to abide by are here as follows:
- The occupancy of said short term rental unit must be in accordance with Section 34-2, as it defines family as one or more persons occupying a dwelling unit and living as a single, nonprofit housekeeping unit. This comes with the exception that five or more adults that are not related by blood, marriage, or adoption shall not be deemed to constitute the label of family.
- Trash containers should not be moved onto the curbside more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled curbside trash collection time, nor should trash containers be left at the curbside for more than 24 hours after the scheduled curbside trash collection time. These actions are required by Section 6-11 of the Fort Myers Beach land development code.
- The Town of Fort Myers Beach Ordinance No. 96-24 has set limits on noise volume during designated quiet hours. These hours are 10:00 PM- 7:00 AM, all guests must be in compliance with this rule. Any indoor or outdoor activity must be kept at a volume that is non-intrusive and is respectful of neighbors.
- All guests staying in short term rental units must abide by local and state laws in the event of a mandatory evacuation.
Guests of short term rental units must follow the Rules and Regulations set in place by the Condo Association where the rental unit is located, if applicable.
Guests are responsible for any and all fines that may be incurred by guest, any member of the guest’s party, owner of unit/property, or Sea Gypsy Vacation Rentals for any violations of the Code of Conduct detailed above committed by guest or member of guest’s party. Fines are $500 per incident/occurrence per day, as well as any additional cost given by the Town, property owner, and/or Sea Gypsy Vacation Rentals.

During your stay, we would appreciate if you follow these guidelines:
- Please be respectful of the neighbors by keeping noise levels to a minimum and observing the No Noise Ordinance imposed by our local Town Law between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Thank you for not smoking in the property or on the screened-in lanais. Smoking is only permitted outside of any screened-in enclosures.
- Pets are only permitted in our pet-friendly rentals with prior written approval and an additional pet fee is required.
- Please do not use candles in the property as they pose a fire hazard.
- Please do not take pillows, blankets, comforters, bathroom towels or other household items to the beach or pool area. Separate beach towels are provided for your use at the beach or pool.
- Thank you for not walking on the blacktop barefoot, it blackens your feet and can stain the flooring in the property.
- Please be sure to remove your shoes before entering the property; please rinse your feet of all sand and dirt.
- To help prevent unwanted pests, be sure to remove all interior garbage and place it in the outdoor trash receptacles as the inside garbage cans become full.
- Please note that the garbage disposal is not for garbage, but rather small residue that may collect in the sink.
- We ask that you please respect and care for this property as if it were your own. We take great care to ensure each property is in good condition and that can only be done with your help.
